What is Medical Student Syndrome?

What is Medical Student Syndrome?
Those who are studying medicine learn about new diseases as part of their subject.
When they experience any headache, sore throat, or other symptoms in their body, they suspect that they have the diseases they have studied and learned about. This is called Medical Student Syndrome.

Not only them, but their relatives also suspect that they have these diseases.
For example, if they get a headache, they are afraid that they have a brain tumor.
This is also called health anxiety and hypochondria.
Such fears make them suffer and they visit doctors for tests.

What to do now| Medical Student Syndrome

They waste a lot of money on medicines for tests.
So when we face such fears, the first thing we should do is consult a neurologist if we get a headache. They say that we need to do many tests. (That does not mean that doctors are like this. There are good doctors too. The psychology of people these days is that they do not believe that they do not have any disease, so they do not agree if they prescribe small tablets.)
If they prescribe many types of tablets, they pretend to be good doctors.
So if we have any health problems, we should first consult a general physician.
If those pains are real or if they are just a game played by our mind, we should be patient for two days and then meet a general physician. He will diagnose your diseases and prescribe the necessary medicines or if the disease is serious, he will refer you to another doctor.
