Excessive Agitation.

Such individuals tend to get excessively agitated over trivial or irrelevant matters. Consequently, they experience an excessive accumulation of body fat. Instead of the food consumed—whether carbohydrates or proteins—undergoing metabolism to release energy, it gets stored as fat. An individual’s metabolic rate is dependent upon their level of physical activity and muscle mass. As physical activity increases, muscle mass also increases.

Individuals prone to excessive agitation typically possess lower muscle mass. The reason for this is their tendency to become intensely agitated over matters that have absolutely no bearing on their own lives.

For instance, consider a software engineer. A war is taking place somewhere—specifically between Russia and Ukraine—a conflict that has absolutely nothing to do with him. Yet, he posts content on social media in favour of Russia. That is to say, even if Russia has not achieved complete dominance in the conflict, he posts content glorifying their efforts and claiming they have achieved victory. Meanwhile, others on the opposing side are posting content asserting that Russia has, in fact, suffered defeat in the war. Since the advent of social media, such instances have become increasingly common. Consequently, instead of focusing on his work, this individual is wasting his energy getting agitated over completely unnecessary matters. Thus, harbouring animosity—whether towards certain castes, religions, ideologies, or nations—causes one to constantly seethe with agitation. Since this constitutes an emergency situation, the body shifts into “fight-or-flight” mode.

In this state, the body converts the protein stored in the muscles into energy; consequently, a continuous loss of muscle mass ensues.

Negative emotions such as anger, fear, hatred, and jealousy can even intrude upon one’s dreams, disrupting sleep; during such restless periods—often accompanied by sweating—muscle loss continues to occur.

Questions like, “Will I get a job or not?” “Will I succeed?” “What will become of my career?”

Or: “Will a particular hero’s movie be a hit?” “Will he become the Chief Minister?”

Or even: “What will happen to our country?” “What will become of a specific religion?” “How long will it endure?”—all these matters are fundamentally unrelated to us. They are factors that lie entirely beyond our control.

By becoming excessively agitated over such issues, we merely subject ourselves to anxiety, anger, distress, and fear.As a result, the body enters “fight-or-flight” mode. Energy becomes completely drained, making it impossible to focus on work. Consequently, due to this lack of focus, the results will not be in our favour.

Therefore, diversity is an inherent reality—whether we like it or not. If something does not appeal to us, we should simply maintain our distance; under no circumstances should we harbour hatred toward anyone. Hating specific ideologies, castes, or religions only leads to further harm.
