Oh, I’m waking up in the middle of the night
Many people wake up in the middle of the night or early in the morning after going to bed.. This is especially common in people over 45 years of age.. Heart attacks and strokes occur more often in the early morning,, some die in their sleep..
Let’s learn a little more about this problem!
1. First, the common reason.. Eating a very light meal at night.. Some diabetic patients behave differently even if they take enough medication and insulin.. Do you wake up in the early morning with a pounding heart, sweating, and extreme hunger? Immediately check your sugar through the one-touch machine at that time, if it falls below 70, it is hypoglycemia… Immediately eat some nuts or drink sugar water. Eat some fruit. Is the sugar more than 120… It is not hypoglycemia. Let’s see if it is something else… If some people do not have sugar under control, hyperglycemia causes frequent urination and wakes up… Eating too much is a problem. Eating too little is a problem,,,
2. Woke up early in the morning. Is there hunger, stomach ache, nausea, heart palpitations? It could be a problem like hyperacidity, gastritis, or ulcers… Take a pantoprazole tablet and go to bed. If you consult a gastroenterologist, they will do an endoscopy…. The problem will be easily identified, the solution is easy…
3. Otherwise, if you wake up and feel tired and have heart palpitations, get out of bed, walk around, get some air, and turn around like that… it will subside for a while. Is it coming again the next day? This is paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea. That is, frequent nighttime dyspnea… This is dangerous… The first stage of heart failure… If it is not detected at this time, it is called resting dyspnea. Orthopnea means that you have to sit down to relieve the discomfort. In such a situation, heart failure occurs. If you go to a heart disease doctor, they will take an ECG and echo, analyze the causes, and prescribe medicines and anti-inflammatory drugs. Some people have nightmares due to fatigue. They wake up with fatigue. It is not a ghost, but a warning signal from our body that a health problem is starting…
4. Some people wake up because they have to urinate… They usually do not drink water before going to bed, so they urinate and go to bed. However, they wake up after 4-5 hours… They don’t drink water out of fear; that’s the wrong thing. It’s a waste. 45% of our blood is made up of blood cells, i.e., red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets; the rest is 55% liquid, which is called plasma. The majority is water; there are some proteins, fats, amino acids, clotting factors…
When we move around during the day, blood should go from the heart through the arteries and return to the heart through the veins. It is easier to come from the upper part of the body. If you want to go from the lower legs, you have to go against gravity. The valves in the veins, the calf pump, or the small muscles called the second heart help in this. To do this, you have to walk….
But if you do not walk while working on computers, or if you stand a lot, such as waiters or petrol pump workers, or if you have low venous tone, the pressure in the veins increases a little, and the water in the blood comes out in the legs near the ankles, and the legs swell. We see this when we travel a lot. This is called edema. That is why you should get up and walk every hour. Take an hour’s rest in the afternoon. Long journey flights, that is, in American flights, they are told to get up and walk without just collapsing. Those who travel long distances should use a Clopidogrel A tablet a week in advance. Good…
Okay, the water that has accumulated in these legs when we sleep at night due to the lack of gravity pressure comes back into the blood vessels. When it comes like that, the blood volume increases by half a liter… Normally, if the heart and kidneys are good, this is not a big problem; they excrete it out. So urine is made, and we wake up… Here, urine did not come because of drinking water… The problem is that what has accumulated in the legs of the body is reabsorbed. So to avoid water accumulation… We should walk in between… We should take a rest between 4 and 6 pm…
If there is a problem in the heart and the failure is in the early stage, the water that comes and reaches these legs is the problem. When we lie down, the heart rate is low at the baseline. This increased half a liter of water in the blood causes pumping problems. This water enters the lungs and causes fatigue. When we get up and turn around, the heart rate increases and pumps that water to the kidneys. The water in the lungs decreases, and fatigue decreases. Urine comes. Sleep disturbances often occur…
The problem is not urine, the heart. We do not drink water out of fear… That is where the calculus is damaged… When we urinate, the water percentage in the blood drops significantly, and the viscosity and density of the blood increase. Then when it goes into the blood vessels, it does not go away easily. If we have fat in our blood vessels and plaques (they are added without our knowledge), this increased density starts the clotting process, and some people get a heart attack or stroke in the early hours of the morning. If fat gets into the three vessels of the heart and has a critical blood supply, 60% of those who have ventricular fibrillation immediately die in their sleep. Some people go to the hospital immediately if they get chest pain; they are kept in the ICU for treatment and advised to get an angiogram, stent, or bypass…
Nowadays, if you get late-stage heart pain, they do primary angioplasty urgently at night and insert a stent; otherwise, you have to go to the hospital within an hour or two. Also, for paralysis, they give an injection like Altiplase, which is a blood thinner that does thrombolysis– in some places they do carotid clot suction and insert a stent. All these are medical facilities available only to those living in big cities…
So let’s drink a glass of water before going to bed. If you wake up in the middle of the night, drink a glass of water after urinating again; that’s why in the old days a glass of water was kept by the bed. Now everyone has refrigerators. If you want to drink cold water, like me, keep a flask of water by the bed and drink it if you wake up for a thousand hours. Otherwise, no…
But analyze the reasons yourself and get medical help…
middle of the night middle of the night
middle of the night middle of the night
