Psychological treatment for insomnia

A professional psychologist uses many types of therapy when counseling for mental problems. The psychologist is responsible for ensuring that the client not only gets out of the problem quickly, but also prevents the same problem from recurring or getting stuck in another problem. Counseling alone is sufficient for most mental problems. The psychologist will refer a client to a psychiatrist if the client has a long-term mental issue and the brain’s chemical balance is out of balance. Moreover, medication is not the solution for every problem. Any mental issue can be temporarily alleviated by medication, but it is not a permanent solution. Even for serious problems, medication is required for at least 70 percent of the time, not more than 30 percent. Long-term use of medications can have strong side effects.
Many people do not consider insomnia to be a mental problem. But it can cause many mental and physical illnesses. After the age of 16, sleep deprivation begins and becomes more severe in middle age. In India, it is now common practice to prescribe any insomnia medication requested by a physician. This is a very dangerous situation. By using these medicines for more than 6 weeks, the body gets used to those medicines. As a result, the medicine does not work and you are pushed into a situation where you cannot sleep at all without the medicine. In this situation, the doctors increase the dose of the medicine. If the dose of the medicine is increased in this way, the body is destroyed. There are many chances that this medicine can be the cause of many other physical and mental disorders. Primarily, IBS can be mentioned. Psychologists use many therapies to prevent insomnia. Each therapy method also has its own characteristics. Whichever therapy is selected, it should be used completely. If the therapy does not work due to stopping in the middle, there is a possibility of confusion when problems arise in the future. Recently, many problems like OCD are being solved with existential therapy. Existential therapy is very effective for many issues related to thoughts. However, existentialism is very complex. Only those who have a great grasp of psychology and philosophy have the opportunity to understand it. Therefore, ordinary psychologists do not have the opportunity to provide this therapy.
Sleep and love do not come to us. They should come on their own. They are less likely to fall asleep if I have doubts about whether or not I will sleep. This makes the person more afraid. Whatever we fear, that thing strongly affects our mind. Fear only adds to that thing’s strength with every attempt to escape. What we have to deal with here is the fear, not the thing. Many people get stuck in the quagmire of problems without knowing that.

Existentialism Insomnia | Psychological Treatment for Insomnia

The mind always wants freedom. However, it is the natural nature of the mind to run away from what we try to control. Existentialism places a strong emphasis on mental liberty. Many people consider social and economic freedom as the only freedoms, so they do not find solutions to problems. Existential therapy breaks such illusions and makes a person completely free. Wherever there are bonds, there is no possibility of freedom. Existentialism does not tell a person to run away from responsibility. It only tells him to understand his scope and opportunity. Existential therapy works effectively because it is a philosophical approach that takes into account the basic principle of psychology that every individual is unique.
